Creature Comforts

Year 5 enjoyed a range of environmental studies and fun. We made shelters, acted like foxes and birds and luckily avoided predators! We also met some guests in our mammal hotels, including voles and long tailed field mice.

Sparsholt Visit

On a very cold day in November, year 3/4 visited Sparsholt. The children studied different properties of rocks and soils and had fun digging up samples from the cold, hard ground. They then visited the pigs and learnt how to recycle the waste from their lunch boxes to round off a fun and educational visit.

No napping at Knapp...

There were too many activities to have any time for napping on Year 6's residential trip to Knapp House this year. After a relatively peaceful coach journey, the children quickly settled into their dorms and sorted themselves out in preparation for a busy week ahead. Activities included: Ringo Rides, Speedboat Ride, Abseiling, Climbing, Coastal Walk, Crabbing, Go-Cart Riding, Pot Holing, Rafting, Sliding, Low Ropes Activity, Surfing and Disco. The children represented the school in an amazing manner and did themselves proud. Most importantly, they enjoyed themselves and made new friends from other Southampton Schools. Well done year 6.

Living The Life Of Tudor...

During our school trip to the Weald and Downland Tudor museum we had a look around some Tudor houses. We then split into groups and completed activities. The first group made a traditional Tudor medicine whilst the second group took part in a Tudor cookery lesson. After lunch we swapped activities. We all had fun and learnt more information about Tudor life. (Written by year 3 pupil)
