Stitch Me Up!

Designing and making pencil cases was a real challenge for years 3 and 4 but great fun.

The finished products are colourful and whacky, reflecting the character of the pupil who made it!

Here they are, proudly displayed by their owners.

Henry VIII Couldn't Dance Like This!

Years 3 and 4 have been practising Tudor dancing linked to our Tudor Topic.

We have performed several dances using the Tudor steps that we have learned:

  • the Earl of Essex
  • a pavonne

  • Branle des Sabots

  • the Black Armaine

We have also made up our own Tudor dances in small groups. This was great fun!

Showing That We Care...

We are working towards the "Rights Respecting Schools" award, level 1.

We have completed our audit, interviewed pupils and two parents and two governors have joined our working party. This is the new display created by several of our year 6 pupils.

As you can see, we've been thinking a lot about events which happen around the world, sometimes disastrous such as floods, and issues which affect us locally, such as homelessness.

We might think we can't do anything to change these situations or help in any way, but part of our RRR (Rights, Respect and Responsibilities) learning reminds us that we can.
